When it’s not working out…quit and start over!

I am guilty of blog negligence. In my defense, lots has happened in my life in recent weeks both personally and professionally. I know it’s no excuse for ignoring my legion of fans who were anxiously awaiting the next installment of my writing genius (I’m joking about the genius and fans part by the way). I have been the victim of a dry writing spell due to an increase in my personal stress level, which has rendered me emotionally fragile and a bit loopy at times. I’m not going to go into details because it’s not THAT kind of blog but I will say that I am slowly getting my groove back thanks to great friends, an increase in my daily protein intake (beer) and general good humour. My trials and tribulations in getting my groove back have left me with a bad taste in my mouth and a headache. Unfortunately, it has also brought about the demise of my interest in reading for a little while. Indeed, I have been completely unable to get passed Chapter 1 of Antonine’s book and so, like I always say:  ”When it’s not working out…quit and start over.” New Brunswick’s Pélagie is on the chopping block for now and I am just going to follow my gut and my heart on this one and pick Ontario’s Alice Munro and her book The Lives of Girls and Women. I’m feeling much better now. Oh yeah, I can smell the roses…Can’t wait to crack the Girls open! No wait, somehow I think that means something I don’t want to say (sorry, I’m French and sometimes my English is a little off). What I meant to say was that I’m totally excited to get cracking on Alice’s book. Happy reading!
